So, this past weekend was the May long weekend in Canada. This weekend signifies the beginning of the planting season, camping season, and the unofficial beginning of Summer.
For the first time in four years, I had all three days off. I packed a lot into my mini holiday. I completed my spring cleaning, worked in the gardens, gave my two miniature horses a much-needed grooming. But what truly made these days off shine for me was I got some writing done on my current WIP, Prophecy's Awakening.
I can't tell you how good that felt. I loved it. And I'm going to try hard to keep this momentum up. I need this book finished so I can move onto a new story I'm itching to write. A dragon shifter story. No vampires in sight
Anyway, I'm going to leave you all with a snippet from Prophecy's Awakening.
Until next time. Take care. And to all you readers and writers out there, remember, read proud and write wicked.
Snippet from Prophecy's Awakening, book 6 in the Prophecy Series:
Black bowed his head. “I’m here because if things were different in my life...”
At the end of his patience-rope, Gary shouted, “Out with it.”
Black’s head snapped up. His brown eyes zeroed in on Gary and he surged to his feet. He grasped Gary’s shoulders in a strong grip and pulled him so close their lips almost touched. “Nothing would stop me from being with you—openly.”
Shock, not only at Black’s speed and strength, but also his words, stole Gary’s breath. He hadn’t fully believed the guy’d admit his feelings, or be so bold.
A low growl issued from Black’s throat, then his firm lips covered his in a hard, brutal kiss.
Before he could react, Black’s tongue invaded his mouth.
