Romance With A Bite

True love takes courage and sacrifice.

Prophecy's Power, Book 3 in the Prophecy Series

 Blurb:

He kidnapped her heart

For Natalie Tortelli, everything comes down to a hard-won fight. She’s survived an insane mother and a cold, indifferent foster care system. To stand apart from everyone and everything is to trust only in herself—and that suits her fine. But all that changes one night when she happens upon a handsome stranger, murdering another. To make matters worse, the killer takes her captive and claims he’s part of a vampire race that protects humans from demons. Caught in a dangerous world she doesn’t understand, Natalie has no choice but to trust in him. But her pride won’t allow her to fall for the sexy kidnapper.

She stole his soul

Soren from the Fourth Clan of vampires loves his life. With an endless supply of demons to fight, and willing women to share his bed, why wouldn’t he? Love is an emotion he cares nothing about. But the foundations of his philosophies are shaken to the core after he has to detain Natalie. She’s unlike any woman he’s ever come across. When it comes time to let her go, he finds he doesn’t have the heart to release his wild and sexy captive.

The power of love binds them

Together, Soren and Natalie attempt to unravel the secrets that haunt her past—which might tie both of them to the vampire prophecy.

Though their passionate relationship is more than either had expected, both hesitate to fully entrust themselves to one another. But if they don’t, death may be the only thing that unites them.

True Love takes Strength and Compromise.

Together, Soren and Natalie attempt to unravel the secrets that haunt her past—which might tie both of them to the vampire prophecy.

“Tell me what I need to do to prove to you and your captain I won’t say a word about demons and vampires!” Natalie tried to keep her voice at an even keel, but hysteria made the tone high and sharp.

Soren sighed, as if weary of the situation. “If it were up to me, I’d take you home right now.”

Panic clenched her heart. “All I want is to go home.” Tears threatened, but she forced them away. She’d shed enough in front of him.

“I will send you home. I just need some time.”

“Time? You’ve stolen enough of my time already. I want out—now. Not tomorrow, not next week. Now.”

“Christ,” he whispered, shaking his head as if dealing with an ornery child. “I understand your irritation, but the reality is you’re here until something can be worked out.”

Irritation? He acted as if her abduction and imprisonment were merely a mild inconvenience. She balled her hands and squeezed. His cavalier attitude infuriated the fuck out of her. She’d love to slap the smug look off his face, then ram a stake through his heart.

“I don’t have time to waste while you assholes figure something out,” she snarled through gritted teeth. “And I swear to God, if you don’t release me now, I’ll—”

He slammed the door. The walls shivered with the force. She covered her head with her arms and cowered low to the floor, afraid the ceiling would crumble.

The sound of the lock sliding home shot through the room.

Natalie scrambled to her feet and ran to the door. She twisted the knob, but knew it wouldn’t open. She slapped the flat of her hands repeatedly against the wood until pain made her stop. “You fucking piece of shit. I’ll skin you alive—and don’t think I won’t.”

The sound of the outer door slamming was his response.

Breathing hard, Natalie leaned her forehead on the door. Tears burned her eyes, and this time she let them fall. But with each clear drop that dripped off her chin, anger mounted. Soon her legs trembled, her arms and belly quivered. Fury coursed through her veins like fire.
