Brenda Dyer's Biography
Hello, welcome to the section where you learn a little about who I am and what makes me tick.

I'm married and a mother of two grown boys. My husband and I live on a hobby farm in the small town of Sooke, located on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. We have two miniature horses, chickens, ducks, three cats, and two budgies.
​
In addition to writing and looking after my animal friends, I work fulltime as a commercial and residential painter. My husband and I own our own painting company. Working in the trades has given me a front row seat on how some men act when in a testosterone-fueled group. *Laughs* I use this knowledge in writing my male characters and how they interact with each other. I feel my experience from working around men has helped me write believable male heroes.

In Prophecy's Power, Book 3 in the Prophecy Series, my heroine, Natalie, is a drywaller. I used my firsthand experience of working in male dominated trades in creating her character. She's a tough-as-nails, take-no crap, woman. And lucky for her because she'll need all her strength to deal with the hero, Soren.
